Catcha Vibe with the Wailers in Portland, Maine

Catcha Vibe Featuring Fitzie Niceness to Open for The Wailers in Portland

September 22 at Portland House of Music

Catcha Vibe is proud and deeply honored to announce that Catcha Vibe featuring Fitzie Niceness will open for the legendary Wailers on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Portland House of Music in Portland, Maine.

For a band whose music has been rooted in reggae, world rhythms, and the message of bringing people together through music, the opportunity to share the stage with The Wailers is incredibly meaningful.

The evening is part of The Wailers’ 50 Years of Positive Vibrations Tour, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Rastaman Vibration, the landmark 1976 album by Bob Marley & The Wailers. The tour celebrates songs including “Positive Vibration,” “Roots, Rock, Reggae,” and “War,” as well as the enduring message of unity, resilience, spirituality, and hope that helped bring reggae music to audiences around the world.

Led by Aston Barrett Jr., son of legendary Wailers bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett, The Wailers continue to carry that musical legacy forward while introducing it to new generations. Their recent albums One World and Evolution have both received Grammy nominations.

A Special Night for Catcha Vibe

For more than two decades, Catcha Vibe has been sharing reggae and world music throughout Maine and New England, building our sound around deep grooves, positive energy, community, and the belief that music can bring people together.

Having the opportunity to open for The Wailers — a band whose music and legacy have influenced generations of reggae musicians and listeners around the world — is something we don't take lightly.

We are truly honored and grateful for this opportunity.

We look forward to representing Maine's reggae community and sharing the stage with musicians connected to such an important chapter in reggae history. Most of all, we're looking forward to sharing this night with all of the friends, family, fans, and familiar faces who have supported Catcha Vibe throughout the years.
